NewsJimmy Eat World unveil summer tourJimmy Eat World have announced a tour of the US which will see them debut new material to audiences in advance of their appearance at Reading and Leeds. The Arizona band have been holed up in the studio working on their third album, the follow-up to 2004's 'Futures' and audiences can expect to hear much of the new material at their headlining shows. (23) Milwaukee WI - Pabst Theatre (24) Chicago IL - Park West (25) Newport KY - Southgate House (Light Bright Festival, 18+) (27) Knoxville TN - Bijou Theatre (28) Austin TX - Emo's Alternative (30) Dallas TX - Granada Theatre (31) Mesa AZ - Mesa Arts Center (August 3) Amy Winehouse cancels V Festival appearance Amy Winehouse has pulled out of this weekend's V Festival (August 18 and 19). Her record label issued a statement today (August 16) explaining that she will not play the festival and further touring committments are also in doubt. "Amy Winehouse is putting all her touring commitments on hold until further notice in order to address her health issues," they explained. "Amy will not now be performing at this weekend's V Festival. Her family has requested that the media respect Amy's privacy at this time. There will be no further comment." The news comes after Winehouse was admitted to the Causeway drug rehab centre in Essex on Tuesday (August 14) following a drug overdose last Tuesday (August 7).
